Flag of Afghanistan | Color Names & Codes of the Afghan Flag

The national flag of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, adopted on 15 August 2021, features a white field with a black Shahada, following the Taliban's victory in the 2001–2021 war. Afghanistan has altered its national flag numerous times since the 20th century, primarily using black, red, and green colors. In contrast, the internationally recognized Islamic Republic of Afghanistan's tricolour flag comprises three vertical stripes of black, red, and green, with a central national emblem in white that includes a Shahada, Takbir, and a mosque, among other elements. King Amanullah Khan introduced a similar version in July 1928, retaining the three stripes and emblem format.
