Annie Frances Murphy (born December 19, 1986) is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as socialite Alexis Rose in the comedy TV series Schitt's Creek (2015–2020).
Early life
Murphy was raised in Ottawa, Ontario as an only child. She attended high school at Elmwood School, where she honed her acting skills in various theatre productions. Murphy was enrolled in Queen's University for one year before deciding to pursue a degree in theatre performance at Concordia University. She later furthered her acting skills at the Canadian Film Centre Actors’ Conservatory.
